Ingredients

  • Mandarin oranges: Juice about 11-12 mandarine oranges, or equal to a cup. You can also use naval oranges (you probably need 4-5 depending on the size).
  • Agar: Agar-agar is a type of gelatinous substance obtained from algae, commonly used as a vegetarian alternative to traditional gelatin. It’s great to use for any desserts, confectionery, and other culinary applications. It is tasteless, odorless, and high in dietary fiber.
  • Honey: Adding honey gives your treat an added sweetness.

How to Make Mandarin Orange Jello Treats

  1. Juice mandarin oranges (equal to 1 cup of mandarin orange juice).
  2. Place the mandarin orange juice in a saucepan. Turn the stove to medium-high heat.
  3. Add the agar powder and honey.
  4. Stir until the agar powder dissolves. Simmer for a minute.
  5. Pour the mixture into the gelatin mold. Refrigerate for an hour or until completely firm.
