Why Smoothies Are Beneficial During Spring

The arrival of spring brings a change in the weather. When it starts getting a little warm outside you may want to switch that hot chocolate for a summer-inspired drink that’s cool and refreshing.

Spring is the most unpredictable of all seasons, it can be as hot as a summer day, or it can be as cold as a winter day. Such deviations in temperature affect our skin, hair and overall health so much that it becomes necessary to take precautions against.

Spring is known as natural detox season and with it comes all the green, leafy, fresh vegetables and fruits. There is an urge to detoxify oneself after a long winter and all those spicy hot drinks with very little water intake.

Note: You can blend any of your favorite fruits and add your own flare. You can add non-dairy milk or just water. Always remember to blend with lots of leafy greens to boost your energy.

      Hi Maggie
That happens, but the most important is getting back on to building those healthy habits. We learn everyday and if we look forward to a brighter future by doing the right thing….then everything will flow in the direction that’s most favor us.

Is each recipe 1 serving or 2? Thanks!

      Hi Kristen,
Those smoothies are one serving, but you don’t have to drink it all at once. If I feel full after a glass I refrigerate the remaining smoothie for later. Just make sure you drink it the same day.
