How To Cut Pineapple and Grapefruit

Looking for a great snack during the warm summer day? Fruits are refreshing and delicious as snacks. Pineapples are one of my favorites and grapefruits are my number one citrus choice to have in the morning. Let me show you how I cut my fruits.

Aside from drinking lemon water in the morning, I also eat some type of seasonal fruits. Cutting your own fruits will save you so much money. The price of pre-cut and packaged fresh fruits is ridiculously high nowadays. Most of the time, fruits that are in season go on sale. I also noticed that in summertime fruits are sweeter and more succulent.

how to freeze your pre-cut fruits for your smoothie

  • Peel and cut the fruits
  • Place them in a mason jar or ziplock bags
  • If you’re using a mason jar, make sure to place them in the fridge to thaw. It’s a lot easier to remove them from the mason jar when thawed.
  • If you’re using ziplock bags, please recycle them.

I’m a mom of 2 wonderful girls. I love to prepare and cook home-cooked meals. Cooking and planning your meals might sound like another chore added to your already long list of things to do. Believe me, I’ve been there. However, cooking more meals at home is worth all the effort.  After years of cooking for my family and teaching culinary classes, I can honestly say that I have more control over the quality of the ingredients I use. That means I’m eating a lot better. Eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring and you don’t have to eat the same thing repeatedly. There are ways we can do and naturally enhance the flavor of our food and enjoy home-cooked meals.
