Today I made this wonderful Red Velvet Smoothie, I added my favorite fruits and dates. Date is a natural sweetener, just add them to any smoothie or eat it by itself. It’s the best cure for the nagging sweet tooth. So before you grab a candy bar…think of dates!

Ingredients
  • 1 small beet
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 4 dates
  • 2 cups baby spinach
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
  • 1 tablespoon protein powder I use Natural Citizen (see link below)
  • 1 cup coconut milk divided
Instructions
  1. In a blender add the spinach, 1/2 cup coconut milk. Blend until smooth. Add the rest of the ingredients. Blend on medium speed for 20 seconds then turn the speed to high, blend until smooth. 

  2. Option: add 1 tablespoon or a scoop of vegan protein powder. I use Natural Citizen (click the image below to learn more)
