Today I made this wonderful Red Velvet Smoothie, I added my favorite fruits and dates. Date is a natural sweetener, just add them to any smoothie or eat it by itself. It’s the best cure for the nagging sweet tooth. So before you grab a candy bar…think of dates!
Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 small beet
- 1 ripe banana
- 4 dates
- 2 cups baby spinach
- 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
- 1 tablespoon protein powder I use Natural Citizen (see link below)
- 1 cup coconut milk divided
Instructions
- In a blender add the spinach, 1/2 cup coconut milk. Blend until smooth. Add the rest of the ingredients. Blend on medium speed for 20 seconds then turn the speed to high, blend until smooth.
- Option: add 1 tablespoon or a scoop of vegan protein powder. I use Natural Citizen (click the image below to learn more)
