- Brown sugar:
- Honey
- Dijon mustard
- Apple cider vinegar
- Pineapple juice
- Cinnamon
- Ground cloves
HOW TO MAKE EASY HAM RECIPE
Time needed: 1 hour and 30 minutes
STEP-BY-STEP
- Preheat the oven:
Preheat the oven to 325ºF
- Score the ham:
Use a sharp pairing knife and score the ham with shallow cuts in a diamond pattern. Or you can buy a spiral ham which is already scored.
- Bake:
Place the ham in a roasting pan and cover it with foil and bake for 1 hour.
- Make the glaze:
Meantime, in a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, honey, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, pineapple juice, cinnamon, and cloves. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens.
- Remove the ham:
Take the ham out of the oven and brush the glaze over the ham.
- Return the ham back in the oven:
The ham goes back in the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 30-40 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 140ºF.
- After it baked:
Let the ham rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
