Steak and Shrimp Fajitas
Summer grilling is so much fun, but if you think it’s too hot and you rather stay indoor, this dish is perfect for indoor grilling. I used my cast iron grill pan and I get the same charred steak as if I would have grilled them outdoors. A seasoned cast iron grill pan is best to use for indoor grilling especially if you live in the four-season State.
There’s so much flavor in this steak and shrimp fajitas. I made my taco mixed and I used it to flavor this dish. I just sauteed the bell peppers and onion to release all the flavors then added lime juice and spices. I also made salsa and guacamole, they’re excellent sauces or dip for tortilla chips.

- Get a good quality store-bought salsa or your favorite salsa. If you want to make your own, combine, tomatoes, onion, jalapeno pepper, a clove of garlic, cilantro, and lime juice in a food processor. Pulse until roughly chopped. If you want a restaurant style salsa, add a small chipotle pepper in adobo sauce to your salsa mixture.
- If you want to make guacamole, mash 2 avocados, then add about a cup of salsa. Squeeze more lime juice.

Hi there! Nice to meet you. My name is Jen.
I’m a mom of 2 wonderful girls. I love to prepare and cook home-cooked meals. Cooking and planning your meals might sound like another chore added to your already long list of things to do. Believe me, I’ve been there. However, cooking more meals at home is worth all the effort. After years of cooking for my family and teaching culinary classes, I can honestly say that I have more control over the quality of the ingredients I use. That means I’m eating a lot better. Eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring and you don’t have to eat the same thing repeatedly. There are ways we can do and naturally enhance the flavor of our food and enjoy home-cooked meals.
