cutting board
- 1 pound raw shrimps, peeled, deveined, tail on
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 red chili pepper, sliced
FOR THE SAUCE
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Heat a wok or wide pan with oil. Add the shrimps, and cook until pink on both sides, about 15 seconds. Remove from the heat and set them aside.
Use the same pan, add more oil if the pan starts drying. Add the garlic, broccoli, and water, stir, and cover, to steam the broccoli for a minute or until it turns bright green in color.
Uncover the pan, add the sauce, and stir until well combined.
Add the shrimps back to the pan, add the red chili pepper, and stir until well heated. Serve immediately with steamed rice.
