Equipment

  • Wok or wide pan
  • Bowls
  • knife
  • cutting board

Ingredients

  • 1 pound raw shrimps, peeled, deveined, tail on
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 red chili pepper, sliced

FOR THE SAUCE

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  • Heat a wok or wide pan with oil. Add the shrimps, and cook until pink on both sides, about 15 seconds. Remove from the heat and set them aside.
  • Use the same pan, add more oil if the pan starts drying. Add the garlic, broccoli, and water, stir, and cover, to steam the broccoli for a minute or until it turns bright green in color.
  • Uncover the pan, add the sauce, and stir until well combined.
  • Add the shrimps back to the pan, add the red chili pepper, and stir until well heated. Serve immediately with steamed rice.
