Bowls
- 1 large heat of cabbage
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 yellow onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 3 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup water
Preheat the oven to 375ºF
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the cabbage and cook for about 10 minutes until the leaves are tender. Drain and set aside to cool.
In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, cooked rice, onion, garlic, egg, tomato paste, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Carefully remove the leaves from the cabbage and trim the hard stem. Place a spoonful of the beef mixture in the center of each leaf and roll up tightly, tucking in the sides.
Place the stuffed cabbage rolls seam-side down in a large baking dish. Pour the tomato sauce and water over the rolls.
Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes until the cabbage is tender and the sauce is bubbly.
Make sure the filling is cooked through.
